Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 3, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ScriptorAI website and services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
ScriptorAI provides automated punctuation, formatting, and writing assistance. The Service may change over time, and we may add, remove, or modify features at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Accounts
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Using the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Interfering with or disrupting the Service, including abuse, scraping, or denial-of-service activity.
- Using automated tools to access the Service in a way that bypasses rate limits or usage limits.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the model, prompts, or underlying system logic.
- Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any access controls, paywalls, or usage limits.
- Uploading or transmitting malware or malicious code.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.
5. Your Content
You may submit text and other content to the Service (“User Content”) in order to receive output. You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant ScriptorAI a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of operating the Service (for example, to generate punctuation and formatting results, prevent abuse, and maintain system performance).
You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to submit your User Content and that doing so does not violate any laws or third-party rights.
6. AI Output and Disclaimer
The Service uses automated systems and may generate imperfect or incorrect output. Output is provided for informational and convenience purposes only.
- ScriptorAI does not guarantee that output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose.
- You are responsible for reviewing and validating any output before using or relying on it.
- ScriptorAI is not a substitute for professional advice (including legal, medical, or financial advice).
7. Plans, Billing, and Payments (If Applicable)
Some parts of the Service may require payment. If you subscribe to a paid plan, you agree to pay the fees described at the time of purchase.
- Fees may be billed on a recurring basis unless canceled.
- We may change pricing or plan features; if we do, we will provide notice where required.
- Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider.
- Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once paid.
8. Rate Limits and Usage Limits
The Service may enforce usage limits (including anonymous usage limits, per-account limits, and rate limits) to prevent abuse and maintain performance.
Attempting to bypass these limits is prohibited and may result in suspension or termination.
9. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if:
- you violate these Terms,
- your use creates risk or legal exposure for ScriptorAI,
- we are required to do so by law, or
- we decide to discontinue the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you delete your account, access will be removed, and certain data may be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by ScriptorAI (or its licensors) and is protected by applicable laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from any part of the Service unless expressly authorized in writing.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services. ScriptorAI is not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms and policies.
12. Warranty Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCRIPTORAI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SCRIPTORAI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCRIPTORAI’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SCRIPTORAI FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANY AMOUNTS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ScriptorAI and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to:
- your use of the Service,
- your violation of these Terms,
- your User Content, or
- your violation of any law or third-party rights.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will update the “Last Updated” date and may provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ScriptorAI operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
